The grounds of the castle have been designed by Jacques Wirtz and there are 26 plots of about 240 square metres. The exhibitors are selected from hundreds around the world who enter their gardens each year.

The day begins with a visit of Angers Castle.

This huge medieval castle with its 17 towers is home to the remarkable late 14th-century Tapestry of the Apocalypse.
