Leonardo da Vinci was a leading artist and intellectual of the Italian Renaissance who’s known for his enduring works “The Last Supper” and the “Mona Lisa.” He arrived in Amboise in 1516, following an invitation from King Francis I. A place to be free to dream, to think and to work. The Italian genius passed away three years later and was buried, following his wishes, within the royal château.

In the morning, arrive at Saint Pierre des Corps train station, only a short hour journey from Paris. (Train not included). Pick-up can also be arrange from Paris or other places.
Transfer to Amboise, an historic city full of charm dominated by its royal castle. Amboise was the seat of the Court of Kings Charles VIII and François 1st.
In the morning, start with the visit of Le Clos Lucé in Amboise.
Leonardo da Vinci spent its final 3 years of his life in Amboise, in a beautiful pink stone building. This place : Le Clos Lucé is now housing a museum with models of his designs, a museum on the life and work of Leonardo Da Vinci.
On the first floor of Château du Clos Lucé, you will visit Leonardo da Vinci’s bedroom, in which he died on May 2, 1519.
Get up close and personal with the genius and explore his ingenious models.
Many models of his designs are on display, you will enjoy a visit in the gardens and discover full sized working models of so many of his marvelous inventions.
Canvases and giant machines, audio terminals and a fun-filled trail offer a unique chance to learn about this visionary artist and his fabulous inventions and show you why Da Vinci was the ultimate Renaissance man, interested in everything around him.
In teh afternoon, continue with the visit of Amboise castle. Where Leonardo Da Vinci’s tomb is placed today in the chateau’s chapel.
Later, enjoy a visit to an authentic wine estate in Vouvray followed by a wine tasting.
